The Heritage Institute, Liverpool University teams up with OA Academy
We’re thrilled to announce that The Heritage Institute at the University of Liverpool has become the latest Institutional Member of the Octopus Associates Academy.
The Heritage Institute has an outstanding reputation for research, education and thought leadership across the heritage sector. By joining the OA Academy, its students, researchers and professional networks will be connected to a growing community dedicated to exchanging ideas, skills and creating new opportunities for learning and collaboration.
Professor Soumyen Bandyopadhyay, Director of the Heritage Institute, and the Sir James Stirling Chair in Architecture at the Liverpool School of Architecture, said:
‘"We're delighted to be joining the Octopus Associates Academy. Its commitment to bringing together curious, creative people from different backgrounds resonates strongly with our own belief that the most meaningful ideas emerge when we break with conventional boundaries, build intelligent communities, and work together towards shared goals. We're excited about the conversations, collaborations and positive change that this membership will help enable."
At Octopus Associates, we believe that the future of heritage depends on bringing together diverse perspectives from academia, practice, industry and communities. The Academy was established to provide a platform for that exchange—connecting people, projects and expertise to address some of the most significant challenges and opportunities we face today.
We’re excited to partner with The Heritage Institute and we look forward to shaping a more sustainable, inclusive and imaginative future for heritage in our work together.
